The inscription can be dated to ca. 324-325 according to the hypothesis that Liverani (ad loc. cit.) infers as preferable. Carletti (ad loc. cit.) still favours the identification of father and son as Constantine and Constantius II: an idea which leads the dating of the inscription to the reign of the latter. |
