"«in arcu», ibidem reliquias legerunt saec. XVII ac XVII ceteri auctores et adhuc exstat musivo opere restitutum post. a. 1823 incendium in utraque parte arcus" (Silvagni, in ICVR ad loc. cit.). The inscription commemorates the restoration of the church fostered by Galla Placidia and Pope Leo I (440-461) after a fire damaged the building: then, the epigraph should be dated between the election of the pope (440) and the death of Placidia, in 450. In CLE 314 the inscription is wrongly joint with ICVR, II 4780 (EDB 42126): cfr. Musisque deoque, at http://www.mqdq.it/textsce/CE|ce|0314 .
