〈: c〉 ((crux immissa)) s̄(an)c̄(tu)s̄ Felicianus

Text A is composed by two hexameters and is located in the band at the base of the apsidal basin, below the figures of Saints Primus and Felicianus, indicated by didascalic inscriptions (texts B and C). This decoration is related to the monumental intervention undertaken by pope Theodore I (642-649) (see LP I, 332). In 1735 the apsidal mosaic was restored (see De Rossi ad loc. cit.).
