Similarly to currently available web search engines, EDB provides an advanced text-based system which allows users to obtain different results according to a predefined syntax:

Inclusive:

Exact match:
Returns all the epigraphs which dating interval exactly corresponds to the specified interval.
For example: [400, 500] exactly corresponds only to [400, 500]
Searches can also be performed by specifying only the FROM or the TO field.
